Heritage Real Estate Property Management Department had a name change to Heritage Real Estate Asset Management Department in late 2002. The reason for the change was that Real Estate Management had changed dramatically. In the past, you approached a real estate to manage your property and they charged you pretty much a standard fee. Unfortunately, not all real estate agents did the same job. Most of them are only worried about listing your property and renting it but when they have the management on deck you become another number. That's where we have changed and that is why we are now called Asset Management. We have divided our departments to specialise in specific areas that need specific attention. We have:

This means we have a specialist to do a perfect job in every part. Some people say this is a disadvantage because they are dealing with different people for different circumstances. Let me answer that concern, the easiest way I can.

Example: If you were going in for a bi pass operation on your heart, do you think the surgeon would do all the following jobs? Give you anesthetic, move you in and out of the operating room, give you other injections, cut you open, do the surgery, clean his equipment for next time, sew you up, and wait in your room for your recovery. The answer is no, the surgeon would only do the surgery.

Real Estate is no different, some people are strong at paperwork, and they are in our administration section. Some people are good with the tenancy concerns; they are in our tenancy section. Others are great at finding us more properties to let and gain a brilliant result for the owners, this is our new business section and some are fantastic at the Customer Service that Heritage is so synonymous for.
