In Wiseberry Heritage Real Estate, vision was based around supporting the local community, to give back to a community that has provided so much for our family, colleagues and friends.

With this in mind, Wiseberry Heritage held a charity day for a young boy with Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy affecting his arms and legs. His name is James Razum-Irwin. James badly needed a wheelchair as he had outgrown his own and had borrowed one that needed to be returned. Our target was $12,500. We decided as a team we were going to do something bigger than ourselves and we closed the doors on the 20th March, 2003 and called all the contacts we could from 8am that morning until lunchtime raising money by phone canvassing our clients, door knocking & then later raffling off prizes donated by local businesses.

We held a race day to celebrate with the staff a fantastic quarter and to congratulate them on a great fundraising effort which I knew they would do. When the race club heard about the appeal, they offered part of the day as a fundraiser. We had rallied local newspapers, radio stations, celebrities alike all joined in and young children were sending a dollar through the post for this excellent cause. We have just reached a staggering $25,000.00!

James has just ordered 1 manual chair and a new automatic chair will be made in September this year when the latest prototype comes out especially shaped for James. Also short term; James' parents will have no medical expenses they have to raise as it has all been taken care of.

Even to this day we count this as one of our finest hours.

Along with a charity day each year, our team also sponsors many local sporting clubs, getting involved with judging the Lion’s Youth of the Year & promoting it, blood donations and helping mentor & tutor up and coming school students and business people.

We are proud to be involved with the following clubs and events this year:-

Soldiers Beach Surf Lifesaving Club

Kanwal Warnervale Rovers Football Club – juniors & seniors

Kanwal Netball Club

Red Cross Donations

Breast Cancer Research with Danielle Hansen & the Oyster Festival Auction Night

Lions Youth of the Year – Judging & Promotion

Plus consistent Work Experience placement from many of the local high schools.
